“Home is Motive” a personal and introspective work that weaves together a blend of stories and conversations generated by different sounds, shapes and textures of the artist’s own experiences and those of her ancestors. Through seven chapters, she offers a reflection of and an introduction to her inner world, which is intricately intertwined with the external reality that surrounds her.

The title, "Home is Motive," represents the idea that finding a sense of
belonging and purpose in life is more important than just reaching a
destination. Each chapter of the EP reveals a piece of the world that lives inside the artist, a universe shaped by their experiences of the outside world. Dushime uses her voice as a multifaceted instrument that has the ability to transform into different textures and shapes.

With the intention to create a dynamic, unique and immersive listening, experience, the EP aims to saturate the space with sounds and textures that are meant to be felt as much as they are heard. In this space, every step taken is accompanied by stories and voices of thousands of people. A space where searching, repeating, getting lost, kindness, acceptance, love, and strength all coexist.
Dushime invites listeners to reflect on their own personal journey, and to embrace the idea that every step they take is accompanied by thousands of people and stories that have come before them.

In summary, with “Home is Motive”, Dushime takes her audience on a
deeply personal and introspective journey where the pursuit of a home is, in fact, a homecoming in it self. She encourages the listener to explore their own inner world while being immersed in hers.
Through themes of self-discovery and acceptance, the artist encourages the listener to embrace their own personal journey, and to find solace in the knowledge that they are not alone, but rather marching with the people who have come before them.
